The Auction

Each year, the Phoebe Hearst Elementary School Foundation (PHESF) holds its annual Auction and Gala to help raise money for our school and students. Proceeds from the event have a direct impact on programs and facilities at Hearst.

What and when is the Hearst Foundation Dinner Auction?

The annual Auction and Gala is the Foundation's preeminent fundraiser for the school. All parents and friends of the school are invited to dine, dance, and bid on silent auction packages, beautiful classroom artwork, incredible live auction items, and opportunity drawings to help raise funds for our various school needs. 100% of proceeds go directly back to our school.

And did we mention the plated dinner and open bar?

How do your donations benefit Hearst students?

Hearst Foundation funds a wide variety of educational activities and campus improvements, including:

• STEAM lab

• African Drumming for TK-1st grade provided by the Center for World Music

• Capoeira dance and music from Brazil for 3rd grade provided by the Center for World Music

• Ukulele lessons for grades 2nd and 4th provided by the Center for World Music

• EduDance - ballroom dancing (hoping to have back next year!) 

• 5th grade student play production program

• Educational magazine subscriptions for the classrooms

• Covered the loss in supply budget funds, dispersed to the school by the district

• Development of outdoor learning spaces

• GaGa Ball pit on upper field

• School Murals

• Bathroom renovation - fresh paint and positive messaging

• Library support

In 2023, thanks to the generous support of the Hearst community, the Hearst Auction raised over $67,000!

How can you help?

We need item donations for our auction!

Do you or someone you know have a connection at a restaurant, hair salon, day spa, jewelry store, clothing store, dry cleaners, children's store, or even a theme park? How about an exciting getaway? Do you own a second home, a time share, or a rental property? Do you have any sporting event tickets or theater tickets? Do you know an artist, music teacher, or personal trainer?

If you said yes to any of these questions … then your help is needed!
